NMRA  Events - Conventions, Train Shows and other NMRA Activities

The National Convention and The National Train Show®were established by the National Model Railroad Associationas a nationally sponsored combined industry trade show and public train show to promote the hobby of model railroading. 

Trainfest is an annual show that takes place in Wisconsin. It's America's largest operating model railroad show under one roof!

These events aim to encourage fellowship amongst rain enthusists and educate the general public on the past, present, and future of railroading. These events sponsor clinics, symposiums, tours, and demonstrations. It's perfect for hobbyist and families alike!

Make a Donation to the NMRA

The National Model Railroad Association is dedicated to the preservation of all things in the Model Railroading domain. To that end, support from the membership is what keeps us going.

• The NMRA is a non-profit organization under the IRS 501(c)(3) guidelines. Your donations to the NMRA are, for the most part, a charitable donation.  As always, consult your financial advisors for full details.

• More lasting gifts to the NMRA can be structured through the use of estate planning. Through the NMRA Endowment Program and with the help of appropriate professionals, the NMRA can be remembered as a bequest in a will or trust.

• The NMRA Combined Federal Campaign Number (CFC) is 12286.

• Basic Member (No Print Subscription)
  All Rights and Benefits; Does include the Digital NMRA Magazine access.
• Premium Member (with Magazine Subscription)
  All Rights and Benefits; Includes the printed NMRA Magazine and digital access.
• Student Member
  Any person 18 yrs and under or student between the ages of 19 - 25 yrs possessing valid student ID. All Rights and Benefits and the Digital NMRA Magazine.
• Sustaining Member
  Mandatory for all group memberships such as Clubs, Associations, Corporations or other Businesses. Sustaining membership includes all the rights and privileges of membership including the NMRA Magazine. 
• Any prospective member from a country other than the USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand, United Kingdom or European countries - All Rights and Benefits and the Digital NMRA Magazine.
• Under the dues structure, Canada, United Kingdom (including Europe now), and Australia/New Zealand residents must contact their region for membership to the NMRA.
